McCain video showed Obama’s face on $100 bill
The faces on the money quote referred to this McCain ad:

It’s difficult to watch the whole ad without coming away with the impression that McCain is aiming at showing how weird it is to see a black face in these contexts — Mt. Rushmore, United States currency, Statue of Liberty. Your mileage may vary, but that’s what I’m seeing there. Would they have done this to Bill Clinton?
Obama, however, did not make that claim directly. His statement was 100% accurate: “You know, ‘he’s not patriotic enough, he’s got a funny name,’ you know, ‘he doesn’t look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills.’”
According to the L. A. Times, Obama has since called the race charge “a typical pattern” of the GOP campaign.
But now Obama’s chief campaign strategist, David Axelrod, admits his candidate was referring in part to his race when he suggested the McCain campaign wants voters to fear Obama because he doesn’t look like other presidents.
“He’s not from central casting,” Axelrod told a national TV audience Friday,”when it comes to candidates for president of the United States. He’s new to Washington. Yes, he’s African-American.”
So, as usual, lacking very much in the way of real issues, McCain makes the most of purely semantic details. He ridicules Obama for not looking presidential enough to act so presidential, but when he’s called on it, starts squawking about the “race card” as if Obama was O. J. Simpson.
Who are we kidding here? A response when I posted these observations on Fark.com:

3_Butt_Cheeks: Clearly a statement about his race.Wrong, clearly a statement about a McCain attack ad that photoshopped him onto a dollar bill. Don’t you read Fark?
